Abstract
Summary form only given. The authors present a technique which exploits the correlative nature of image attributes by multiresolution decomposition of data sets reduced from an image along a generalized scan trajectory. Scanning strategies are based either on Hamiltonian space-filling curves (of the proper fractal dimensions) or on the solutions of a set of linear congruences
