Abstract :
DC and ac conductivity measurements were made on samples of low density polyethylene (LDPE) to which nano-sized BaSrTiO3 particles and a dispersant had been added. The latter is thought to contain a polymethylene backbone, and its density is similar to that of LDPE ; its dispersant action is based on carboxylic acid. The samples were 150-200 mum thick, and carried 100 nm thick sputtered aluminium electrodes and a guard-ring.
