Abstract
Sandwich structures consisting of porous PTFE films clamped between two FEP Teflon films show large quasi- static piezoelectric coefficients due to high residual polarization formed by breakdown charges trapped at the interfaces between the two dielectrics. At the same time, the stability of polarization and the piezocoefficient is limited by rather high mobility of positive charges in FEP films. Intention to increase the stability of the positive charge in FEP by high temperature treatment during poling has been tested in this paper by comparing relaxation and thermal behavior of sandwich piezoelectrets poled at different temperatures from 25 to 150 degC.
