Abstract
The paper deals with a modified version of the Fang-Mei´s super-absorption algorithm for the truncation of three-dimensional finite-difference time-domain (FDTD) meshes combined with an innovative low pass filtered algorithm to assure numerical stability of the FDTD procedure for late time. The proposed method is usually applied to analysis of slow-decaying transient problems, such as the lightning or nuclear electromagnetic pulse interaction with a cable or complex structures. Numerical results demonstrate the efficiency of the proposed method.
