Abstract
Similar to other polyamides, nylon 1010 is a typical semi-crystalline polymer with different microstructure under various thermal history and thermo-mechanical treatment . The relaxation properties are affected intensively by the crystalline structure for using nylon 1010 as a functional material. In this study, the chain segment motion, charge trapping and detrapping behaviors for different crystallinity (Xc) of nylon 1010 are investigated by means of thermally stimulated depolarization current (TSDC). The research point is to elucidate which physical mechanism gives rise to each peak in TSDC spectrum and to determine the characteristic parameters of relaxation process.
