Abstract :
According to the result of dynamic analysis about tool turret´s key component-tool turret base, we verify if the turret design is reasonable, using SolidWorks to establish the turret base, then importing it into COSMOSWorks, we select the direct sparse solver for modal analysis. We have got 5 kinds of natural frequencies and mode shapes; the result can guide the design of further optimization and avoid the resonance zone effectively, and ensure the accuracy of tool turret. According to the result of modal analysis, COSMOSWorks is indispensable to dynamic simulation and structural optimization of tool turret base, and makes a good starting to the next research.
