Abstract
This paper describes a practical approach to measure the characteristics of a hybrid absorber, which is represented by its reflecting coefficient. A log periodic antenna and illuminative wall are used in the measurement and this approach is very simple and practical. The accuracy of this approach increased with the directional characteristics of the antenna. Also, the calculation of the reflecting coefficient of the hybrid absorber is made by using the FDTD numerical method. There is good agreement between the measurement results and the calculation results.
