Abstract :
The TINA computational view defines operational interfaces and stream interfaces belonging to computational objects. Regarding the stream interfaces, the TINA service architecture (optionally) offers explicit control of the establishment and lifecycle of stream bindings. The paper explains the informational and computational concepts and objects defined in TINA that relates to explicit stream bindings. In the information view this is the different objects defined in TINA service session graph. In the computational view, TINA offers explicit stream binding establishment on different levels of granularity. The feature sets for participant oriented and stream flow oriented control are described. Such stream binding control operations are useful in multimedia multi party services. A simplified tele-education example is given to illustrate the use of the concepts, and the example also shows how tailored service logic can easily be achieved
