  • Abstract
Automobile wheel was an important component of the automobile. A kind of AM60B magnesium alloy automobile wheel was designed using UG NX 7. The static analysis was done using the advanced simulation function of UG NX 7. The stress and strain figures were gained. In the static condition, the larger stress and strain distribute in the low part of the automobile wheel and the wheel rim near the ground. According to the static analysis, the fatigue analysis was done. The strength safety factor and the fatigue safety factor were gained. The results showed that the strength safety factor and the fatigue safety factor satisfied the design requirements. The designed AM60B magnesium alloy automobile wheel is feasible and the process provides a valuable reference for the design of magnesium alloy automobile wheel.
