Student forum

Summary form only given, as follows. Student Forum papers are brief three page presentations of ongoing research of PhD students. All papers are single-authored by a person officially enrolled in a PhD program, and they present the student??s research objectives, the envisioned approach and/or the already achieved results. Papers have been selected according to their originality, relevance, and interest to the community. The selection process has been driven by a small "Student Forum committee" that included: Gianfranco Ciardo (University of California at Riverside, USA), Geert Deconinck (Katholieke Universitaet Leuven, Belgium), and Inhwan Lee (Hanyand University, Korea). I have acted as chairperson and I warmly thank my colleagues for their precious help. The forum is structured into three sessions. The first two sessions are devoted to the technical program: short presentations of the accepted Student Forum papers, to pave the way to deeper off-line discussions with colleagues and senior researchers. The third session is dedicated to a mutual exchange of information between students and industrial representatives, with the hope that new generations of researchers will build ever increasing connections between industries and universities.
