Abstract
Near infrared characteristics of radiation induced behavior of natural quartz crystals as a function of irradiating temperature, low (77 K) and room (300 K), and electrodiffusion with Na and H are presented. The results show that the radiation induced dissociation of alkali ions and protons from the major defect bands not involving aluminum follow similar characteristics as shown up by the aluminum related centers
