Abstract
To design a highly reliable data center, it requires careful consideration of many factors. In this paper, the importance of EMC, acoustics, and thermal management and the relationships between them are discussed. The basic design guidelines of each, and their important role within the data center space to achieve high availability especially from a thermal management viewpoint and its interaction with EMC are carefully reviewed.
