Abstract
A fuzzy classification method for cooperative design documents of manufacturing based on domain ontology and document structure tagging is presented in this paper. It employs the hierarchical structure of domain ontology and semantic relations between concepts to partition and tag the design documents. Every concept in domain ontology is weighted by the position importance of feature words and the distance between each feature word and the concept itself. As a demonstration, this method is applied in the shipping engineering, which enhances the accuracy of the design documents classification.
