Comparing the performance of some centralized sterilization services using a generic simulation model

The work presented here registers in an approach of improving performance of sterilization services in hospitals. Using the results of a survey realized next to many health establishments in the Rhone-Alpes region, in France, we build a generic model for the quantitative comparison of performance indicators of various sterilization services. We show and comment some numerical results obtained with our generic model. This comparison is completed with the calculation of some ratios, which gives us an evaluation of the productivity of services using multiple input parameters and producing multiple output parameters and a classification of services according to their productivity.
