Abstract :
This paper introduces the Rake receiver into troposcatter Communication. An improved maximal ratio combining algorithm based on SNR threshold is presented to decrease the big amount of calculation in traditional Rake receiver. This method both considers probability density function of SNR of the received signal and different users´ requirements, adjusts the threshold accordingly, and combines the signals whose SNR are higher than the threshold. The algorithm can efficiently decrease computation while keeping system performance.
