Abstract :
Complex loop patterns are frequently involved in to support the complex business logic in workflow management system. Specifically in time management of workflow system, it is necessary to perfectly handle complex loop patterns and to properly analyze time restraints and time forecasting. In this paper, we propose an approach to generating the reasonable duration for complex loop patterns in time-based Petri-net workflow. The duration adjustment rule and loops management stack are used to generate a useful value for monitoring the life cycle of workflow instances and applying the time constraints. Finally, this paper concludes with some future directions.
