Abstract :
The authors describe a three-phase AC/DC power convertor in which, by virtue of the discontinuous current and voltage mode of operation, the current delivered by the source of supply is quasi-sinusoidal and in phase with the voltage. The circuit is analysed from a simplified single-phase model enabling the dimensioning equations to be obtained. It is then compared with two other three-phase power convertors used for the reduction of harmonics with a view to satisfying the IEEE 519 standards
