Abstract :
This article aims to present a new interactive graphics module for overall simulation called SIMUSEC (Simulation of Electrotechnical Systems under Switching), and developed in the SIMULINK environment. It allows power convertors feeding passive loads or electric machines to be simulated in both open- and closed-loop conditions. It also allows the interaction between the machine and convertor, or among the various convertors used in a multiconvertor system to be simulated for the purpose of analysis of the conducted disturbances. All functions and toolboxes of SIMULINK, and especially that of monitoring, can be used with this module. The latter facilitates the design and analysis of high-performance AC machine drives. The power of this module is illustrated by the study of a cage induction machine monitored by the direct method of flux orientation and fed by a PWM convertor imposing the stator currents. The results of simulation are also presented
