Abstract :
The decomposition of the superimposed waveforms of multiple motor unit action potential (MUAP) is an important and difficult issue in the research of surface electromyography (sEMG) decomposition. In this paper, a method based on time-frequency distribution is adopted to decompose superimposed waveforms containing two or three MUAPs under different overlapping degrees. The experimental results demonstrate that the proposed method is effective for surface EMG decomposition under mild muscle contraction level.
