Abstract :
The application of distributed computing by WebGIS to the is image had been studied in the paper. A server of WebGIS was set up. A RS image was divided into grids. There was a computer in each grid. Distributed computing of GIS datas was dealed with by computer node in each grid. The available information was submitted to the server of WebGIS. So we can draw a conclusion that we can enhance efficiency of GIS datas in RS images by the application of distributed computing.
