Abstract :
In this work, we report a high-repetition-rate intracavity OPO based on the noncritically phase-matching KTP excited by a cw-diode-pumped AO Q-switched Nd:YVO4 laser operating at 10 to 80 kHz. Nanosecond pulsed lasers at eye-safe wavelength region 1.5-1.6 micrometer are indispensable for some applications such as telemetry and range finders. Those investigations for high peak power eye-safe laser source have been stimulated much interest in intracavity optical parametric oscillators. With 12.6 W absorbed pump power, the compact intracavity OPO cavity, operating at 80 kHz, produces average power at 1573 nm to 1.33 W and peak power higher than 2 kW.
