Abstract :
CLUE-S is a tool that can predict future land use changes. CLUE-S had been successfully applied to simulate land use change in Bandung region. The dependent variable was land use which classified into seven classes (water, forest, others, built area, plantation, dry land, and rice field). The independent variables were social economical aspect, biophysical aspect, accessibility and climate. The result of the modeling showed that scenario 2 was more optimal than scenarios 1. In the end of simulation, scenario 2 showed that forest area was still 11 percent, and the area of rice field was 5 percent of the area.
