Abstract
Textile effluents are major industrial polluters. The present paper aims to investigate and develop low cost adsorption methods for color removal wastewater using waste materials raw (RP) and activated carbon (ACP) from plane tree yellow leaves as adsorbent. The method was applied for the removal of direct red 81 while the influence of various factors such as adsorbate concentration and pH were studied. Using Langmuir, Freundlich and Temkin adsorption isotherm models the adsorption of the dye over both adsorbents were studied.
