Abstract
This paper is a consequence of a main project, it reports a research project about a novel experiment that provides ¿live¿ traffic tickets issuing and registration. This paper introduces traffic police data centre stress tool (TPDCST). It was developed in our project to simulate the traffic ticket requests generated by hundreds or even thousands of police officers. Advancement in civilian wireless network infrastructure has made the mobile devices increasingly popular. One of the main police requirements is an effective information system to provide information for police anywhere and anytime. Mobile equipments are widely used for communication. Using mobile telecommunication, we made some efforts to improve police performance with a new solution. After making a plan that contains eliciting, analyzing and recording requirements, we designed and implemented a traffic police data centre stress tool (TPDCST). For more confidence, the TPDC performance should be tested under loads to ensure that the critical information and services are stable at the expected level. A stress tool provides repeatable workloads for testing and evaluation. An ideal stress tool should be easy to use, highly configurable to emulate random workloads. Thus, we can analyzing, evaluating and predicting performance of the TPDC under normal and excessive loads.
