Abstract :
The use of natural, eco-friendly, renewable resources in composites, as a reinforcing material, requires chemical or physical treatment to improve properties with the polysaccharide matrix. Methacryloyl guar gum (MAG) was synthesized in less aqueous media. In addition, the film of methacryloyl guar gum (MAG) was prepared using a conventional solvent-casting technique and were dried at room temperature. The film was evaluated for mechanical properties, testifying the films had good tensile and puncture strength. Some properties of film were measured by moisture absorbance, scanning electron microscopy (SEM), the thermal analysis. All results show that the film had well improved.
