Abstract
This paper is proposed on the development of high power diode lasers and the generation of a wide variety of industrial applications. With the availability of diode laser light in the visible spectral range, new applications enter the focus: illumination and imaging. Night vision systems are intensively investigated and they make use of the availability of high power light sources from diode lasers. The blue and green light will be generated by frequency conversion and red light out of diode lasers with high power levels. High power diode lasers have combined these advantages and are a perfect tool for a great variety of applications.
