Abstract :
Shielding characterization of the electromagnetic (EM) environment of a power network is presented in this paper. The appropriate mathematical models for quantification by calculating the EM field radiated by power network (air insulation substation and transmission line) in low frequency and transient domain are presented. The perturbations generated after coupling of this EM radiation by electronics materials are described and quantified by calculating the induced current in wire structures. The optimised reduction of magnetic field from power network by using the shielding wires parallel with power lines or bus-bars is described. Results of the simulations for real cases complete this study
