Abstract :
Structural and organizational changes within the Department of Defense are driving a need for widespread integration of existing information systems. This paper presents an approach to the integration of Air Force systems based on the concept of `brokering´ data between existing systems. This approach achieves many of the benefits of a single database solution while, at the same time, building on experience gained in developing integration solutions based on multiple interfaces
