Abstract :
Many different types of integration problems arise during software development projects. This paper addresses issues in some integration problems such as application software integration, new function/technology integration, integration testing, and tool integration and discusses future research directions or approaches for them. It suggests some guidelines for designing software objects which facilitate their integration and reuse. It also describes some methods for maintaining consistency and propagating changes among software components during their design, testing, and maintenance
