Abstract :
The PJM Energy Market has been called by some "the most successful Market in North America." The PJM Market reaches into eight states and the District of Columbia, serving 11 million customers with a peak load of over 64000 MW using generating capacity in excess of 70000 MW. This paper defines the drivers behind PJM\´s Markets, provides an overview of the PJM Markets, and looks at the future plans for PJM\´s Markets.
