Abstract
This paper for the first time investigates the impact of moving scatterers on the Doppler spectrum for three-dimensional (3D) vehicular communication systems. Preliminary measurement campaign has been built up for wideband multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) vehicular communication systems performed at 5.25 GHz. Moreover, analytical expressions of the Doppler spectrum for 3D scattering vehicular communication scenarios are proposed. Based on the measured data and analytical results, an acceptable agreement between the theoretical Doppler spectrum and the measured data can be observed, which demonstrates the correctness of the derived theoretical Doppler spectrum.
