Abstract
The paper develops a systematic design procedure for Class D ZVS resonant DC-DC converters. The procedure starts with the converter specifications for line/load voltages and required power and in a step-by-step manner arrives at the component values of minimum size and electrical stress. The accompanying analysis provides insight into the trade-offs between component values and variations in line, load, and switching frequency. The procedure is flexible so that one can optimize different converter parameters. Verification of the procedure is provided
