Abstract
Describes an auditory breakout box developed for use by blind computer users. Like breakout boxes commonly available for the sighted, this instrument enables the user to establish the correct connections between computers and peripherals using RS232C serial ports. The difference in this case is that the new device gives an auditory rather than visual indication of signal status, and has a large `patch panel´, which is readily manipulated by touch alone
