Abstract :
On the basis of traditional traveling wave fault location method based on module component, the paper propose a new method based on modulus maximum and backward traveling wave and used in small current grounding system. Meanwhile, selecting the proper mother wavelets and summarizing algorithm and processes of fault location. Finally, simulating single-phase ground fault in the system of 35 KV in PSB of matlab7.1, verifying the correctness and accuracy.
