Abstract
This paper develops a new method for dynamic analysis of a soft-switching converter, which is based on the extended describing function and Fourier series. This method overcomes some limitations of the extended describing function, so it is easier to be applied to dynamic analysis of the soft-switching converters. Moreover, this paper establishes the dynamic model of a novel AM ZVS direct coupling DC/DC converter by the method, carries out the small signal analysis, the analytical results agree reasonably with the experimental results
