Abstract
A simple soft-switched reluctance motor drive circuit was proposed, involving only four switching devices with three motor windings. The system yields less EMI, because of soft switching, and the output torque was increased by means of shorter current-pulse tail-length. As this system utilizes only one series switching device during powering period, higher efficiency can be performed
