The Conditions of China´s Environmental Liability Insurance System

This paper gives the development of environmental liability insurance at home and abroad, analyzes the main process of this kind of insurance, summarizes the main problems including the scope and premium being unreasonable and the legal system being imperfect etc. in China. Finally, some measures to perfect the environmental liability insurance in China have been proposed. Such as defining the suitable scope and premium of environmental liability insurance, perfecting the legal system, enlarging the support of the government and so on. In a word, much more efforts should be made to perfect the environmental liability insurance system in China.
