Abstract
Tinytalk is a memory-resident (TSR) program for IBM-compatible computers which lets a blind or otherwise print-handicapped user run standard application programs by using synthesized speech in place of the screen display. Tinytalk acts as an interface between the computer´s operating system and any one of several commercially available speech synthesizers. It can also directly generate speech using the computer´s built-in speaker; this is useful for those whose need for occasional access to a particular computer does not warrant buying a dedicated speech synthesizer
