Abstract
The Sentence Master is a revolutionary, linguistically-based reading program that integrates computer activities and print materials. It is designed for students who have had difficulty, or are expected to have difficulty, in mastering the critical skill of literacy. The program is at the forefront in linking diagnosis to intervention. It uses innovative, motivating, self-paced materials to lead students to master the language skills that are known to be problematic for the vast majority of poor readers. The Sentence Master enables those who have been devastated by their reading failure to succeed in a way no other system permits
