Abstract :
A 3D super compact multilayered Si MMIC left-handed S-C band metamaterial bandpass filter is presented. The measured results of the left-handed bandpass filter reveal low insertion loss (< 2 dB) within the passband from 2-7.5 GHz and high out-of-band rejection (> 30 dB) from DC-1GHz and 9-20GHz. The reported 3D metamaterial filter has a size of 2.6 mm2 with sharp roll-off. The super compactness of the structure makes it well suited for RF Si SOC applications.
