Abstract :
In this paper, we propose a novel dualband fractal-shaped microstrip antenna for RFID applications. In fact, this fractal antenna was designed to cover the frequency of ISM Bands (2.45GHz and 5.80GHz). On the other hand, in the present fractal antenna, an electromagnetic coupling system is used for feeding. Also, the perturbation is set at an appropriate location in the patch element to excite circular polarization radiation. The simulations results show that the proposed antenna is compact, planar, simple and low-cost. So it is suitable to use for RFID as the reader antenna.
