Abstract :
With the development of power and extreme weather increasing, icing of transmission lines caused a series of accidents whose harm and impact also expanded. In this paper the ice-prone areas and its influence were described. At the same time icing conditions and the main types of icing were analyzed. Finally the research of icing at home and abroad was proposed. Several typical schemes for the prevention and treatment of ice coating occurred in power networks are introduced.
