Based on the college administration situation, this study tested the relationship between the counselor competency and job performance. The results demonstrated that the counselor competency model consisted of three dimensions: servicing & managerial skills, servicing & management traits and self-growth. Moreover, the gender difference, individual education difference, college difference, work experience difference, and employee relations difference existed in competency tests. Especially, initiative was an effective predictor of task performance, interpersonal facilitation and job dedication, organizing & planning could predict task performance, servicing awareness could predict interpersonal facilitation, communicating & coordinating could predict interpersonal facilitation and job dedication, professional loyalty could predict job dedication and adaptive performance, and psychological adjustment was an effective predictor of adaptive performance., with the predicting effect of integrated competency on counselor performance was. 772.
