We hereby retract the content of this paper. Reasonable effort should be made to remove all past references to this paper.
The presenting author of this paper has the option to appeal this decision by contacting TPII@ieee.org.
Taking Dayi County, Sichuan Province for instance, this paper analyzes the land utilization change from 1995 to 2007, uses Xie Gaodi´s ecosystem service value coefficients to assess the ecosystem service value of land utilization types in the region, and further analyzes the correlation between ecosystem service value and economic indicators. Results have proven that: during the target period, the area of arable land and unused land in Dayi County decreased sharply. The area of other agricultural land, forestland, garden plot, land for residence, land for industrial and mining purposes, and land for transportation increased apparently; Dayi County´s ecosystem service value trended to rise gradually; GDP, population, added value of the tertiary industry, and industrial added value, had a great effect on the ecosystem service value. Dayi County´s land utilization change brought about an increase of ecosystem service value. Land utilization changed towards an ecologically-rationalized direction and urban development and construction did not impair the ecosystem service value.
