Abstract :
This paper priorities the operational items of the vessel inspection questionnaire (VIQ) within the ship inspection report (SIRE) program that offers additional safety precaution for oil tankers, combination carriers, shuttle tankers, chemical tankers, and gas carriers. Hereby, a decision model on the VIQ items is constructed and solved based on a fuzzy analytic hierarchy process (FAHP). Consequently, this study reveals priority results on VIQ items, which enable a decision aid to relevant shipping executives for good scheduling of SIRE program.
