Price volalility occurs frequently in the reforms in domestic fertilizer market. Among all the reasons, one standing out as `lacking controlling efforts to increase market participants´ ability to manage risks as well as the efficiency of resources allocation´. This passage gives analysis and research on necessity, possibility, and meaning of creating fertilizer futures markets in China as well as the big environment behind it. Besides, it also suggests that the new-create coke futures market can be a good example which in a way let us know that creating fertilizer futures markets is due to internal need of the development of fertilizer industry and the market system shall be made with carbalmide as a first products for it.
