Abstract
Detection of moving target/object is a challenging task as far as any radar system is concerned. This paper describes one of the techniques which can be used for detection of a very low range high speed target using a small coherent active CW radar System. This system is a combination of dedicated hardware like transmitter, receiver, antennas and software subsystem to process the received signal. A digital signal processing subsystem acts as the base unit for detection of target characteristics. Communication technique like BPSK modulation is used to get the range information. This paper highlights the estimation of range information using the matched filter concept.
