Abstract :
A 3.3 V 1-600 MHz frequency synthesizer has been designed for high frequency, low voltage, low power applications. The circuit is fully integrated including the loop filter capacitors. Fabricated in a 0.8 μm CMOS process, this circuit occupies an active area of 0.30 mm2. With the VCO operating at 300 MHz, the synthesizer´s 150 MHz output has a jitter of ±80 ps, and power consumption is 18 mW with a 3.3 V supply
