The railway elementary education in China, the same as the railway industry of China, is generated when the imperialist powers spoiling the development and management rights of railways in China. Prior to the establishment of new China, such education had experienced two historical periods, namely the late Qing Dynasty period and the period governed by Northern Warlord Government and the Government of the Republic of China. The generation and development of the railway elementary education not merely witnessed the alternative development of modern national education but also showed the national spirit under those special historical periods.
