Abstract :
This paper describes a new method to measure the vital signs i.e., the heart beating and ADL (activities of daily life) on a concrete floor. A person moves around on a concrete floor in their daily life. Here we set a sensor under the concrete floor, the vital signs generating vibration that can be measured. The sensing system consists of a piezoelectric ceramics and filters for detecting biomedical signals by the sensor. Our novel system can non-invasively and non-restrictively monitor the human vital signs which can be applied to evaluate ADL.
